Party Animal, LLC ("Party Animal," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at play.partyanimaltoys.com (the "Site") and use our online services, including avatar creation, profile management, and contest participation (collectively, the "Services"). Party Animal, LLC is based in Westlake, Ohio, USA.

By using the Site or Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services. We also maintain a separate Children's Privacy Policy that describes our practices regarding children under 13.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account Registration: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. We also collect your date of birth solely to verify you are 13 years of age or older; if you are 13 or older, your date of birth is not stored after verification.
• Profile Information: You may provide a username, select a profile avatar, and choose up to three favorite sports teams.
• Avatar Customization: When you create a character (e.g., TeenyMate or SqueezyMate), we store your customization preferences (colors, body type, accessories) and an optional player name you assign to your character.
• Contest Participation: When you enter our contests by activating a character, we record your entry and generate a unique share token for referral tracking.
• Marketing Email Consent: You may choose to receive marketing emails from us — news about new releases, product drops, and promotions. This is entirely optional and is never required to create an account, enter a contest, or use any part of the Services. If you opt in, we record that you consented, when you did so, and where you did so (during sign-up, from a contest page, or from your Profile page), so that we have a record of your consent. We do not use any other information about you to decide what marketing you receive.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Authentication Cookies: We use cookies strictly for maintaining your login session. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
• Aggregate Site Analytics: We use Umami, an open-source analytics tool we host ourselves on our own infrastructure. It records aggregate metrics (page views, country-level geography derived from IP, and referring URL) without setting cookies, advertising identifiers, or any data that could identify you personally. No analytics data is shared with third parties.
• Share Tracking: When a user shares their avatar link and a visitor opens it, we record that the share link was accessed. This is used solely to award a bonus contest entry to the sharing user.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect precise geolocation data.
• We do not use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics.
• We do not collect financial or payment information through the Site.
• We do not serve targeted or behavioral advertising.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• To provide the Services, including avatar creation, saving, and sharing.
• To display your username and avatar publicly on shared avatar pages.
• To administer contests, process entries, award bonus entries, and notify winners.
• To send transactional emails, including contest entry confirmations and share bonus notifications.
• To send marketing emails about new releases, products, and promotions — but only if you have expressly opted in, and only until you opt out.
• To enforce our Terms of Service and protect against fraud or misuse.
• To understand which products (based on your favorite sports teams) may be of interest to contest winners for prize fulfillment.

3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 Publicly Visible Information

Your username and avatar (including your player name, if set) are publicly visible when you share your avatar link. Other users who visit your shared avatar page can see your player name and avatar customization. Your email address is never publicly visible.

3.2 Service Providers

We use the following third-party service providers to operate the Site. These providers only access your data as necessary to perform services on our behalf:

• Supabase, Inc. — Database hosting, user authentication, and data storage. Your account data (email, profile, avatars, contest entries) is stored on Supabase infrastructure.
• Resend — Email delivery. Your email address is shared with Resend to send you contest-related notifications and, if you have opted in, our marketing emails. We send email only from noreply@partyanimaltoys.com.
• Vercel — Website hosting and content delivery.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. If you delete your account, all associated data — including your profile, avatars, and contest entries — is permanently deleted through cascading database deletion. We do not maintain backup copies of individual user data after account deletion.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption in transit).
• Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms; we never store plaintext passwords.
• Database access is protected by Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data.
• Server-side API routes validate authentication before performing operations.

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Third-Party Embeds

The Site may embed content from third-party services such as YouTube. These embeds are governed by the respective third party's privacy policy. When you view an embedded YouTube video, Google may collect information about your visit in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

7. Social Sharing

The Site provides buttons to share your avatar on Facebook, X (Twitter), WhatsApp, and Pinterest. Using these features will redirect you to the respective platform. We do not load social media tracking scripts on our Site — sharing buttons are simple outbound links. Any data collected when you visit those platforms is governed by their respective privacy policies.

8. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Update: You can view and update your username, profile avatar, and favorite teams at any time from your Profile page.
• Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the address below.
• Marketing Emails: We send marketing emails only to people who have expressly opted in. Opting in is never a condition of creating an account, entering a contest, or winning a prize. You can withdraw your consent at any time from your Profile page, or by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send. We will stop sending them promptly, and opting out never removes contest entries you have already earned.
• Transactional Emails: Emails related to your account and contest activity — entry confirmations, share bonus notifications, and prize notices — are not marketing, and are sent whether or not you have opted in to marketing. To stop receiving them entirely, you would need to delete your account.
• Cookies: Because we use cookies only for session authentication, disabling cookies may prevent you from logging in. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.

9. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, or opt out, please contact us using the information below.
